I learned few things during my visit at the Dusable Museum.
At first, what does it means the legal racism.
I experienced that bevilding feeling caused by asking me a stupid question like "how many boubles are in the soap bar." It supposed to be the particular one that colored were asked about if they wanted to be allowed to vote. I really can not imagine how an adult felt when was questioned like a child. I felt realy badly. I almost believed in my intelectual deficiency. I'm still thinking if there are any boubles in the soap bar, are there any?
Another thing that I learned was the segregation. That water only for Whites or only for Blacks.
I remember my grandfather used to say that water is for everybody.
This is the paradox of the American idea of freedom. I learned that in the United States- country of freedom were a few kindes of freedom, diffrent was for Whites, and diffrent for colored, but all of them were estabilished by only one group who had the only politycal power- Whites.
I thank you Mr. Jomo Cheathan for the museum lesson that I attended. Thank you For your visonery lecture. I just hope there will be a moment when people stop making the race segregation.
